Tasmin Little with Orpheus Sinfonia presented by Hearts in Harmony

We are delighted to feature together renowned world artists, Classic Brit award winning Tasmin Little OBE whose ‘virtuosity is breathtaking’ and critically acclaimed ‘dynamic’ conductor Thomas Carroll, who brings such ‘irresistable passion’ to the concert platform. They performed with the finest young musicians of the profession in the ‘superb’ Orpheus Sinfonia, rapidy establishing an exciting reputation and ‘delivering the highest level of excellence’, and international prize-winning pianist David Malusá.

With its lively character portrayals, Mozart’s Don Giovanni opened the evening, before leading into a dazzling Chopin piano showpiece which is certain to stun and excite in equal measure. Tasmin Little gave a performance of Vaughan Williams much-loved and poignant The Lark Ascending – voted the nation’s favourite work, and for which she has received international critical acclaim and 5-star reviews, The event came to a close with one of the all time favourite’s Beethoven’s magnificent fifth symphony.

The concert was the inaugural launch event for the charity Hearts in Harmony, which raises funds for heart-based causes by showcasing the arts. This concert will raise enough money to buy a defibrillator for the baby unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
